SIMPLE Kidney Cysts

Kidney cysts or simple kidney cysts are usually rounded with liquid content inside lesions that grow inside of the kidney in a variable number which can range from a single cyst until several injuries in one or both kidneys. There is no certainty that generates the appearance of the simple kidney cysts cause. These lesions often develop in the majority of people 50 years and are usually not a problem that can affect the health of the same.

The so-called simple kidney cysts are benign lesions and their presence not predisposes to kidney cancer, simple kidney cysts do not become malignant tumors. Kidney cysts are usually benign; i.e. non-cancer. Usually, cysts do not cause problems, and with very rare exceptions have no clinical significance.

Nowadays most simple kidney cysts are diagnosed to perform an ultrasound of the kidneys control or for another reason is that in most cases constitute a chance finding. Also by computed tomography or magnetic resonance by various reasons these injuries can be diagnosed. Generally not more studies are needed before finding a simple cyst of kidney. If the doctor considers that simple cyst diagnosis is not categorical can perform more studies by images to determine the nature of the injury.

In general the simple kidney cysts have no symptoms. Some patients, especially those who have large cysts may have associated with pain in the lumbar or abdominal region and in rare cases can generate the presence of hematuria (blood in the urine).

The presence of a simple cyst of kidney does not require more treatments. In few cases of very large cysts associated with pain can be any kind of surgical treatment.

OTHER CYSTS OF THE KIDNEY

There are other diseases characterized by the presence in the kidney cysts that are different from the presence of simple cyst of kidney. In all cases may treat a disease that does not give symptoms or are associated with pain, hematuria (blood in the urine) or varying degrees of renal failure. These entities include:

Polycystic kidney disease or polycystic kidney disease: is a genetic or hereditary disease characterized by the presence of multiple cysts and e.g. liver, kidney and other organs level. Equal to that simple cysts are injuries rounded with liquid content inside but unlike simple cysts in Polycystic disease cysts number is much larger and can occupy much of the kidney generating a deterioration in their function and renal failure.

There are three variants of polycystic kidney disease according to its genetic characteristics. Dominant polycystic kidney disease, is the most common form. The problems associated with this entity usually appear after the second decade of life but also may at most early. Polycystic kidney disease recessive, is also a genetic alteration hereditary, less frequently than previously. The third variant is called acquired polycystic kidney disease is hereditary unlike previous and is characterized by the growth of a large number of cysts in the kidney that can generate different degrees of renal failure by occupation and/or destruction of the kidney tissue.

Hidatídicos cysts: hidatídicos kidney cysts are cysts that are formed in the kidney and/or other bodies and are generated by the infection by parasites. Parasite that generates is called Echinococcus granulosus and cysts formed by this disease are usually unique size more large, borders, or walls of the cysts that tend to be more thick than simple kidney cysts. The presence of a hydatid renal cyst need of surgical treatment for the removal of the same and antiparasitics causative disease germ control management.
